This Privacy Notice for California Residents supplements the information contained in Standard Mortgage Capital, LLC’s dba Rize Mortgage ("Standard Mortgage’s") website and mobile application Privacy Policy and applies solely to all visitors, users, and others who reside in the State of California ("consumers" or "you"). We adopt this notice to comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 ("CCPA") and any terms defined in the CCPA have the same meaning when used in this Notice.
Where noted in this Notice, the CCPA temporarily exempts personal information reflecting a written or verbal business-to-business communication ("B2B personal information") from some of its requirements.
We collect information that identifies, relates to, describes, references, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular consumer, household, or device ("personal information"). Personal information does not include publicly available information from government records, deidentified or aggregated consumer information, or information excluded from CCPA scope (HIPAA-covered health information, FCRA-covered information, GLBA/FIPA financial information, etc.).

We will not collect additional categories of personal information or use the personal information we collected for materially different, unrelated, or incompatible purposes without providing you notice.
We may share your personal information by disclosing it to a third party for a business purpose. We only make these business purpose disclosures under written contracts that describe the purposes, require the recipient to keep the personal information confidential, and prohibit using the disclosed information for any purpose except performing the contract.
We do not sell personal information. In the preceding twelve (12) months, the Company has not sold personal information.
In the preceding twelve (12) months, business-purpose disclosures have been made to: Subsidiaries and Affiliates; Business Partners; Service Providers; Advertising Partners; Data Analytic Providers; Internet Service Providers; Operating Systems and Platforms; Data Aggregators; Social Networks; and Internet Cookie Data Recipients, like Google Analytics.
The CCPA provides consumers (California residents) with specific rights regarding their personal information.
You have the right to request that we disclose certain information to you about our collection and use of your personal information over the past 12 months. Once we receive and confirm your verifiable consumer request, we will disclose to you the categories of personal information we collected about you, the categories of sources for that information, our business or commercial purpose for collecting or selling it, the categories of third parties with whom we share it, and the specific pieces of personal information we collected (also called a data portability request).
You have the right to request that we delete any of your personal information that we collected from you and retained, subject to certain exceptions. We may deny your deletion request if retaining the information is necessary for us or our service providers to complete the transaction for which we collected it, detect security incidents, debug products, exercise free speech, comply with the California Electronic Communications Privacy Act, engage in scientific research, enable internal uses aligned with consumer expectations, comply with a legal obligation, or make other internal and lawful uses compatible with the context in which you provided it.

Only you, or someone legally authorized to act on your behalf, may make a request to know or delete related to your personal information. You may only submit a request to know twice within a 12-month period.
We will confirm receipt of your request within ten (10) business days. We endeavor to respond to a verifiable consumer request within forty-five (45) days of its receipt. If we require more time (up to 90 days), we will inform you of the reason and extension period in writing.
If you are 16 years of age or older, you have the right to direct us to not sell your personal information at any time (the "right to opt-out"). We do not sell the personal information of consumers we actually know are less than 16 years of age. Consumers who opt-in to personal information sales may opt-out of future sales at any time.
Once you make an opt-out request, we will wait at least twelve (12) months before asking you to reauthorize personal information sales. You may change your mind and opt back in at any time by emailing corporate@rizemtg.com.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights. Unless permitted by the CCPA, we will not deny you goods or services, charge you different prices or rates, provide you a different level or quality of goods or services, or suggest that you may receive a different price or rate. However, we may offer you certain financial incentives permitted by the CCPA that can result in different prices, rates, or quality levels.
California’s "Shine the Light" law (Civil Code Section § 1798.83) permits users of our website and mobile app that are California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.
